Tudor Floors Carpet One held their first-ever “Ladies Night” on Tuesday, October 11, 2011, with several local vendors offering the attendees food, beverages, and a chance to connect with their business. All proceeds from the event will go to benefit The Caring Place, a non-profit organization creating a refuge for those suffering from domestic abuse.
Ladies Night was a success for Tudor Floors, as the event was very well attended and it gave the guests a great chance to network, visit and learn about some great independent businesses in our community, and see what kind of great products Tudor Floor has to offer.
“We put on Ladies Night to not only support The Caring Place, but to benefit and support independent businesses,” said Jan Stump, owner of Tudor Floors. “We really try to do what we can to support local, independent businesses.”
Vendors included Stephanie Stump with Thirty One Gifts, Debbie Rigg from Rodan & Fields Dermatologists, Jody McDonald's Cagen Collections (jewelry), Maria Blanco Professional Makeup, Barb Rush’s Pampered Chef, and Shannon and Tony Rogers from Ublee Soda Company.
“We have played around with soda for a long time, but we just began marketing ourselves a few months ago,” said Tony Rogers of Ublee Soda Company. “We just play around with the flavors, depending on what’s in season. It’s been a lot of fun and we plan on bottling in the spring.”
“It’s also really nice to see new people come into the store to check us out and see what we offer,” Stump explained. “There was no charge for people coming here, no pressure to buy anything. All the vendors have been so great to donate their proceeds to The Caring Place.“
The event tied Tudor Floors’ commitment to supporting great causes and local businesses together quite nicely. The Ladies Night event is the first in what Tudor Floors hopes to be a long running series of events that bring people, organizations, and local businesses serving in the community together for a great cause.
