Two New Officers Sworn to Duty in Valparaiso

VPD-Swearing-In-Ceremony-November-2015This morning, at City Hall, two new Valparaiso Police Officers were sworn to duty by Mayor Costas.

Jonathan Watson 23 yrs old and Martin Perez 26 yrs old were sworn to duty at City Hall with numerous family members, friends and officers from the department in attendance.

Officer Watson is from Chesterton and a graduate of Chesterton High School and Baldwin Wallace University.

Officer Perez is from Hammond and a graduate of Hammond Morton High School and Indiana University.

Both, previously where employed by the Porter County Sheriff’s Department as jailers. They immediately begin their training at the department. Congratulations to both of our new officers.
