Two new Valparaiso Police Officers was sworn to duty on Friday morning, June 1st. Both officers Ryan Sobierajski 23 yrs old and Mark Lamotte 22 yrs old were sworn to duty at a ceremony held at City Hall.
Ryan is a graduate of Merrillville High School and received a Bachelor’s Degree in Public Safety Management from Indiana University.
Mark is a graduate of Wheeler High School and received a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management/Criminal Justice.
Both Mark and Ryan were employed by the Indiana University Police Department before being hired by the Valparaiso Police Department. Each are graduates of the Indiana Law Enforcement Academy.
Both Officer Lamotte and Officer Sobierajski start their duties immediately.
