We here at Ideas in Motion Media have always had a passion for cool, edgy, creative content on the web; thus, I suppose we're in the right business. Naturally, we gravitate to what and who we are. And in my most humble opinion, as the Ideas in Motion "video guy" as we so affectionately call our motion picture employees, video is the highest and most entertaining form of media. In celebration of this fact, I have compiled the best, most creative and entertaining videos on the web on one page! And will continue to do so right here on ValpoLife! So pop yourself a bag of tasty, non-fat popcorn (it's a healthy treat!) and take a look at some of these media creations.

KRUMP 360 (The 360 Project)

KRUMP 360 (The 360 Project) from Zelig Sound: Composition & Sound on Vimeo.

Probably one of the coolest, most unique videos I've seen in awhile. Definitely not something that would be your grandma's evening entertainment, but it definitely gets your inner, creative ticker going. Apparently the director wanted to highlight a form of dance called Krump by placing 48 cameras aligned in a circle around these dancers while they showed their best moves. He also produced another short video for ballet which is below.

Rock News - Intro/Ident #1

Rock News - Intro/Ident #1 from Chris Loope on Vimeo.

I don't know what kind of show this intro is for (apparently "Rock News"), but this video is SWEET! A kickin' soundtrack (maybe it's the same kind of tunes that the Krump dancers rock to?) along with some interesting visuals make this the most visually appealing 19 seconds of my week!

A "Cinemagraph"

Wow! I really think some people just get paid to sit around and think about creative ideas!? (Wait, that's me.) But, this is really creative. The authors of them call them cinemagraphs. They're more than a picture but not quite a video. If you take the definitions of these two wordsd (thank you www.dictionary.com!), cinema means a place designed for the exhibition of films and a graph means a diagram representing a system of connections or interrelations among two or more things by a number of distinctive dots, lines, bars, etc. So, there you go. It's a place to analyze the connection between two or more different things. Don't ask me what that means. But, these things are stinkin' cool! Find more of them here.

Landscapes: Volume Two

This is absolutely stunning footage of the Arizona frontier! (I actually lived in Arizona for nearly the first decade of my life in case you wanted to know.) Even if you've ever been to Arizona, watch this video! It encapsulates the amazing colors and sights you can see when you're away from the invading haul of civilization, where it's just you, yourself, and I.
