Valparaiso Boys & Girls Club Announnce Spring Basketball Signups

The Valparaiso Unit of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Porter County, located at 354 Jefferson St, will be having registration for their Spring Instructional Basketball program. The basketball program, emphasizing fun and instruction, is for boys and girls ages 5-14, who are in grades K-8.

The registration dates and times will be limited to the following (or until leagues fill, whichever is first):

Feb. 16, 24, March 2 from 3 p.m. - 7 p.m.
Feb. 17, 23, March 1, 3 from 11 a.m. - 7 p.m.
March 4 from 11 a.m. - 8 p.m.

There are a limited number of available spots in each division. The 5-7, 8/9, & 10/11 age groups have separate divisions for boys and girls. The 12-14 age group is co-ed. Practices will start the week of April 4th with first games played the week of April 11th.

The fees for the basketball program are: 5-7 year old division (Friday night games):

$15 *5 year olds do need to be in Kindergarten
8/9 & 10/11 year old divisions (Saturday games): $25
12-14 year old division (Wednesday night games): $30

All players must be members of the Club, which is only $25 per child for a full year's membership. Financial assistance is available for membership and league fees for those who qualify.
