Sat, Sept. 25, 2010 was a cool day. Perfect for the long distance runner. Valparaiso High School Boys Cross Country were invited to compete at Culver Academy in Culver, IN. A favorite course for many of the runners. There were dozens of schools and hundreds of runners. The first race of the morning for Valpo H.S. XC was the Frosh/Soph (freshman/ sophomore) race. Seven runners from both grades were selected to run. All but one set a "PR" (personal record) on the Culver Course. Great Job!

Varsity race ran next. The top seven runners from the team were selected to run. A very exciting race to watch. The top 7 were Freshman through Seniors. The Culver course has many vantage points for spectators. Just as the runners pass, they come around again in a second loop with such speed, it is hard to believe they are running 3 miles (5K). Valpo Varsity placed 11th out of 34 teams overall.
