On Saturday, the boys and girls cross country teams upheld their commitment to performing their best at the always competitive New Prairie Invitational.
The girls finished third in the meet in the AAA division, with Allison Mundell as the 16th place runner, Ellie Joll as the 29th and Aurora Bonner in 34th. They all finished within a minute of each other, ranging from 19:39:7 to 20:10:7. Positions four through seven on the team were filled by Sydney Nosbusch, Alena Tonne, Tiffany Fortney and Michaela Gazdich.
In the AAA division for boys, Valpo finished first. Peyton Reed came in at 3rd with a time of 15:46, with Taylor Bisacchi and Xavier Reed right behind in 4th and 11th place, with times of 15:46:6 and 16:06:8. Patrick Dalton, Landon Davison, Andrew Lyp and Ari Coulopoulos attributed to positions 4 through 7 on the team.
The Vikings are in action next at Lake Central on Tuesday.
