The Y would like to thank our community members who have contributed to last year’s Annual Community Assistance Drive. This campaign assists the Y in providing scholarship assistance to low income individuals, those with disabilities, and social service agencies so that everyone who seeks better health and well-being has access to the facilities and programs of the Valparaiso Family YMCA. It is the Mission of the Y that not any individual be turned away due to the inability to pay. Through this commitment and the generosity of our supporters, we are able to give back $4 to the community for every $1 that is donated to this cause.
In addition, the Valparaiso Family YMCA is pleased to announce that Crystal and Dimitri Olympidis, of Family Express Corporation, are joining Tom Newton, of Newton Appraisals, and Rob Thorgren, of Thorgren Tool & Molding, Inc. as Co-chairs for this year’s Y BASH to be held January 31, 2015 at the Porter County Expo Center. The Y BASH is our premier fundraising event, featuring an extensive silent auction and fabulous hors d’oeuvres. Performing again this year is Latin Satin Soul. Join us for a night of dining and dancing for a great cause. Tickets are available at the Y courtesy desk for $60 each ($75 each after Jan. 23) or online at www.valpoymca.org.
