ymca-logo-red-orange24 hour “InSWIMniac” event will run noon-to-noon March 2-3

How many laps can you or your team swim around a custom course in the Y Lap Pool? You can find out when the Valparaiso Family YMCA hosts its first-ever 24 hour "InSWIMniac” event from noon March 2 to noon March 3. Participate as an individual or with a team of up to 10 people. The 24 hour swim event will be conducted in the lap pool and will include a custom-made course that circles the pool. Swim caps and T-shirts are included with entry. Teams and individuals with the most completed laps in 24 hours will win their respective divisions. Funds raised at this event will help purchase a pool chair-lift that is required by the ADA and will also benefit the annual “Changing Lives Campaign.”

Registration for this event is $55 per person, $45 per team member. Regular registration is open now and closes on February 20. Late registration will be allowed through March 1. Registrations can be done online at www.valpoymca.org or in person at the Valparaiso Family YMCA. No mail-in registrations will be accepted.

Participants must be at least 14-years-old at the time of the event. If the participant is under 16-years-old, they must have a parent or guardian present while they swim.

This event is sponsored by Genetos Retson & Yoon LLP, Smiles by Arnold & Associates, Scannell Wealth Management, The Extra Mile Fitness Company, Orthodontics by Dr. Hyde, and Valpo Masters Swimming.
