Valparaiso Green Drinks will be hosting a special "off-site" meeting on Wednesday, October 2nd at 6:30 pm. This month's meeting will include a tour of the old Valpo Technical Institute Building (1150 W. Lincolnway) and a presentation by Green Drinker Elias Crim of the newly founded Hubworks, a non-profit that will locate in the VTI space and offer coworking and/or makerspace options.
The VTI building is owned by Walt Breitinger, a long-time Green Drinks supporter. VTI alum and frequent Green Drinks attendee, Rich Herr, has been working on the electrical in the building. The building also houses the office of 219 GreenConnect.
Learn about this opportunity for historic preservation, combined with a plan to expand Valpo's cultural, artistic, educational and technical landscape.
Light snacks will be served at the tour/presentation. Attendees are invited to gather at a local watering hole afterwards for beverages.
