Valparaiso High School Seniors Honored at Valpo Relays

First, Michael Bobos during his years at VHS, Michael has ran Varsity for both Cross Country and the Track Team all four years. Michaels is a distance runner.

Jon Covington, our next senior, played four years of Football and this was his first year as a thrower for the Track Team.

Next is Jay Doane. Jay received letters in Cross Country, Basketball, and Track during his years at VHS. Jay is a middle distance runner in his fourth season on the team.

Justin Hreha is the next senior. Justin throws the discus and shot put for the Track Team.

Next is Nikolas Jeftich. Nik was a member of the Varsity Soccer Team for four years and is a distance/middle distance runner for the Varsity Track Team. He is in his second season.

Our next senior is George Krasoczka. George has been a sprinter for the Track Team for four years.

We now have Daniel Marchetti. Danny's senior year he played Football and has been on the Track Team for the last two years. Danny is a middle distance runner.

Our next senior is Colin Stiscak. Colin has been running all four years on both the Cross Country Team and is a distance runner for the Track Team. Colin also wrestled in the winter.

Next is Adam Thoma. Adam is a two sport athlete playing Football and running sprints for the Track Team all four years.

Our last senior is Nick Violante. Nick is a multi-sport athlete receiving Varsity letters all four years as a middle distance runner for the Track Team.  During his years at VHS he also ran Cross Country one year and was a member of the Varsity Soccer Team for two years.

The seniors would like you to know that: "Nothing comes easy; to give anything less than your best is to sacrifice the gift; that you are what you are and sometimes what you eat; and that adversity causes some men to break and others to break records."

Thank you seniors, for your many years of hard work and dedication to your sports, coaches, school and to your community. May you find happiness and much success in the years to come. And also a thank you to Mr. Rasmussen for his many years of service to VHS sports.
