Valparaiso Launches New Digital Platform, OpenGov

Valparaiso-Launches-New-Digital-Platform-OpenGovCity Clerk-Treasurer Sharon Swihart, Utility Director Steve Poulos and Utility Controller Alina Hahn, along with the City’s IT Director Ron Ziolkowski announced today the launch of a new digital platform powered by OpenGov that provides residents, elected officials and staff unprecedented access to the city’s finances and performance information. The OpenGov platform transforms complex financial data into an interactive digital format that enables better analysis and understanding of the city’s finances. The platform may be accessed here.

With the OpenGov checkbook transaction report, visitors can quickly view and search thousands of expenditure transactions. The data can be searched and filtered according to specific detail such as vendor name, date, description and even dollar amount.

“In time more and more information will be added to the Portal” said Swihart.
