Every three years the department must be re-evaluated (audited) to maintain the CALEA accreditation.

In early August, of this year, a CALEA assessment team visited the department. The assessment team evaluated general orders, interviewed department members, reviewed documentation that supported all of the department’s 489 policies and completed a lengthy written review of their assessment.
