Valparaiso Rotary Club and Task Force Tips Team Up to Keep Boys & Girls Club Safe

Valpo-Rotary-TFT-2013Boys & Girls Clubs of Porter County received a $4,000 grant from Valparaiso Rotary Club, along with a $4,000 matching gift from Task Force Tips to purchase and install a new video surveillance system for Boys & Girls Clubs of Porter County’s Valparaiso Unit.

The system boasts 16 cameras strategically placed throughout the Club and outside the building. Not only does this provide security while Club members are in the building but cameras are operational 24/7/365 helping to prevent vandalism and theft.

The system has only been operational for a short time and already we are seeing an impact. Each camera captures video so we are able to do things like help find misplaced items and help members resolve conflicts more effectively,” said Dan Welch, Valparaiso Unit Director. “We are grateful for the Valparaiso Rotary Club and Task Force Tips their investment to help keep our Club safe and secure for our youth.
