This event is meant to raise awareness of alternative uses for a J.D. in the military and how experience in the military can carry into civilian practice. JAG Officers from the Army, Navy, and Marine Corps will discuss the requirements for becoming a JAG as well as what an average day is like as an attorney in the military. Justice David will talk about his journey from law school to being an Indiana Supreme Court Justice, including his time as an Army JAG Officer, and how this experience affected his career.
The Office of Veterans’ Programs and Services is co-sponsoring this event. This event is approved as a Law School Professionalism Event, as well as Core 5th Hour Approved for the undergraduate students.
