The 2012 Valparaiso Vikings 9U Baseball Travel Team opened their BPA season with a 2nd Place Finish in the Bourbonnais, IL Blast Off at the Point Baseball Tournament. The boys were seeded 1st after Pool Play going 2-0 on Saturday with wins over the Romeoville, IL Rattlers and the Middlebury, IN Thunder.
On Sunday they opened up with a 9-4 Semi- Final Win against the same Rattlers team they had beat the previous day. In the Championship game after jumping out to a 7-0 lead in the top half of the 1st and after leading 12-7 heading into the last inning against a good Indiana Playmakers club, the boys couldn’t hold the lead and lost 13-12.
The 9U Vikings will play in the 12 Team Hobart Brick Bash on Saturday and Sunday April 20-21st followed by an Indiana BPA Tournament in Warsaw, IN on April 27-28.
