The Valparaiso Vikings 9u Travel Baseball Team brought home a 2nd Place Finish from the CABA Midwest Regional Tournament in Lynwood, IL.
The Vikings won their first Pool Play game 1-0 against the NWI Shockers, thanks to a great No-Hit pitching performance by Kyle Lawrence and a great defense backing him up. During the 2nd Pool Game against G Town, a combined No-Hit Perfect Game performance by Josh Brinson and Matt Levenda, again with a strong defense, allowed the Vikings to defeat G Town 17-1.
Taking the #1 Seed into Bracket Play, Cameron Milroy and Cooper Jones combined for a stellar 1-Hitter in the 3rd outstanding pitching performance by Vikings Pitchers in the Tournament, as they defeated the Schererville Smashers 12-0.
Vikings Pitching in the Championship Game against the NWI Shockers was good enough for the win, but the Vikings failed to score any runs and lost 3-0.
