The 1994 community build project of the ValPLAYso playground will open its time capsule at the Butterfield Pavilion on Thursday, September 11 at 6:30 PM, an event hosted by the Valparaiso Parks Foundation, a 501(c)3 non-profit that is spearheading the project. The Children’s Committee of ValPLAYso - The Next Generation will also add to their time capsule as they and other volunteer committees prepare for the next ValPLAYso which will be constructed with the help of over 2,000 generous volunteers during the community-build which takes place October 6 – 12.
The public is welcome to join in the 1994 time capsule opening to remember the original ValPLAYso, and to learn about the next generation playground. Information about the community-build process, getting involved, donating, t-shirt sales and face plate purchases will be available.
