Valpo Basketball Announces Television Dates

The Valparaiso University Department of Athletics, in conjunction with the Missouri Valley Conference, has announced television plans for the 2020-2021 conference basketball season.

On Thursday, the league selected three men’s basketball games that will air as part of the MVC TV Network package, which is carried regionally on NBC Sports Chicago, FOX Sports Midwest, FOX Sports Indiana, FOX Sports Kansas City and ESPN3/ESPN+.

Valpo’s conference opener against Bradley on Dec. 28 at 7 p.m. at the Athletics-Recreation Center will air on the MVC TV Network. In addition, road dates at UNI (Feb. 13 at 7 p.m.) and Loyola (Feb. 17 at 7 p.m.) have been selected for regional television distribution.

Four Valpo men’s games and one women’s game have been chosen for Valley on ESPN exclusive delivery. Those games will utilize conference-supplied on-air talent. The women’s Valley on ESPN exclusive will be on Jan. 7 vs. UNI at 6 p.m., while the Valpo men will be featured in that package on the following dates: Jan. 16 at Southern Illinois (TBD), Jan. 20 vs. Loyola (6 p.m.), Jan. 31 at Evansville (1 p.m.) and Feb. 26 vs. Indiana State (6 p.m.).

All remaining Valpo men’s and women’s conference games, both home and road, will air on ESPN3 or ESPN+.

Todd Ickow will move to the radio play-by-play call with conference-supplied television talent working the home games on Dec. 28, Jan. 20 and Feb. 26. All games, home and road, will continue to air on the Valpo Sports Network TuneIn Radio page and on 95.1 FM Valparaiso.
