Valpo Boys’ Cross Country Scores Yet Another Win Against Michigan City, Crown Point

Michigan City hosted the High School XC meet on 8-31-10 against Valparaiso and Crown Point. This was the first time for the teams to run on this course. It is a new course for Michigan city. There were some unassurances for the runners getting to know a new course, but overall they did well. Valpo Boys XC team scored another WIN!!!, with Michael Bobos setting the official record for the win and the new course. Michael Bobos, a senior, at VHS came in first followed by Patrick Dalton, a sophomore, for the 2nd.

There was a runner that went down during the race, Peyton Reed, a sophomore took a hard fall injuring his ankle, losing the first place position to Michael Bobos, but, it did not crush his spirits, he was glad to see his teammate take first and set the course record.

It was awesome to see all the GREEN & WHITE support by the families and friends of the Valpo XC team at the first away meet of the season.

Check out valpocross.sytes.net for times and results.

There is a State Preview Meet being held at LaVern Gibson Championship Cross Country Course at the Wabash Valley Family Sports Center in Terre Haute, IN for any that would like to cheer the top Valpo XC runners.

Would be nice to see that "Sea" of GREEN & WHITE. Congratulations to all the qualified runners that made the state preview!
