The Valpo Heat 12U baseball team went 4-0 to capture the Spring Challange tournament April 12th-13th in Warsaw, Indiana. The Heat squad was led by Ronny Morey, Carter Casko, Ty Gill, Jack Cahill, Spencer Reed and Michael Smith. The Valpo Heat Squad scored 54 runs in four games while only allowing one run to cross the plate. According to Coach Gill, “ We hit the ball well and pitched the ball well,for the first weekend outside. I was proud of the boys and the way they played all weekend.”
The Valpo Heat 12U team has 11 tournaments scheduled this spring and summer including a trip to Omaha, Nebraska for the “Battle for Omaha” during the College World Series and a couple National Championships in the Midwest through Game-day USA and Baseball Youth America.
