Valpo Night Ride, Breakfast & Raffle

CPP-stop-of-the-amphitheater-and-bikeSaturday night is the 4th Valpo Night Ride organized by the Valpo Parks Department and the City’s Pathways Committee. The 15-mile organized evening ride begins and ends at the Butterfield Pavilion, taking cycling enthusiasts in and around the City at a safe pace with police and volunteer support along the route. Perks for participants include a t-shirt, food, and fun like a mid-ride snack at Central Park Plaza.

To conclude the evening, a raffle, DJ, prizes, plus a newly-themed pancake breakfast donated and prepared by Bison Financial will be offered at the Butterfield Pavilion. The raffle is for a new 8.2 Trek DS bicycle valued at over $800 donated by Trek of Schererville; raffle tickets are $5 each, 6 for $25, or “arms length” of tickets for $35. Riders can still register online, by phone, or at the Parks Office at 3210 N Campbell St. Registration is available Saturday night beginning at 9:00 PM, with cyclists lining up at 10:45 and the ride beginning at 11:00 PM. Those under age 10 must be accompanied by an adult or in a pull-behind or tandem bike. Price is $40 per person for ages 10 and up; $30 for those under age 10.
