T’ai Chi
Designed to enhance coordination, mental concentration, and relaxation, this Wednesday evening class of T’ai Chi is held from June 25 – August 13 at Village Park Enrichment Center. The ten-session program for individuals age 18 and over is $80.

Slow Dance Workshop
Learn a variety of dance styles in this nine-week class. For ages 16 and over, the program takes place on Monday evenings from 6:00 to 7:30 PM at the Village Park Enrichment Center. Price is $75/87 per couple or $40/52 per individual. Singles are encouraged to sign up and will be paired with a partner at class time.

Golf Specials

Tennis Lessons - Ages 3 and up
Register for up to four sessions of group tennis lessons this summer; the first class starts June 16. Each session is separated into skill level of Beginner, Intermediate or Advanced with all lessons taking place at the Valpo High School tennis courts.

Discovery Camps begin at Rogers-Lakewood
Extreme Challenge, Science Seekers and CSI are the themes that start Discovery Camps weekly summer programs located at Rogers-Lakewood. Ages 3 up to Grade 8 attend age-appropriate day time camps starting June 9. Sign up for this first week by Wednesday, June 4. Take a Kid Fishing Free Event
Friends Of Fishing hosts this fishing contest with awards, casting games and prizes at Rogers - Lakewood Park on Saturday, June 7, 8:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. Youth must be under the age of 17 and must be accompanied by an adult. Canvas Creations
A Canvas Escapes artist walks painters through the actual painting while enjoying snacks and beverages. All abilities are welcome. All supplies included and participants go home that evening with their original painting. Thursday, June 19, 6:00 – 9:00 PM in the Welter Room at Forest Park Golf Course. $40 if registered by June 9. $45 June 10-12. June 12 is registration deadline.

NEW Bikin' & Eggs Family Bike Ride
This new event is a leisure ride via pathway from Foundation Meadows Park to Rogers-Lakewood Park and back for a fun, family friendly, 3-mile morning bike ride. Included is a light breakfast at the end, along with a bike rodeo, inflatables, face painting and more. All ages and abilities are welcome. Helmets required for all participants. Price is $15 per family (includes up to 3 people), $8 for each additional family member. Age 3 and under ride free. The ride is Saturday, June 21 with event check-in at 8:30 a.m. and ride at 9:00 a.m. Register by May 30.

Valpo Tri online registration
Registration is available online for the Saturday, July 12 sprint length triathlon. The event begins and ends in Rogers-Lakewood Park and is great for competitive athlete as well as the triathlon novice. Register online at www.valpotri.net. Price is $60 for USAT members, $72 for all others. Team price is $120 plus $12 per non-USAT member on the team. Registration is available through July 6.
