Valpo Parks is excited for another summer of Discovery Day Camps! Campers ages five to 14 can look forward to fun activities such as inflatables, games, songs, team sports, arts and crafts, nature hikes, slip ‘n slide, water games, and more.
Here is a quick summary of the weekly themes that are set to entertain campers this summer:
Week 1: Science Week
June 7 – June 11
Campers will spend the week performing experiments and playing games to kick off another exciting summer of fun!
Week 2: Animal Week
June 14 – June 18
Things will get wild as campers learn all about animals and their habitats through games and activities.
Week 3: Superhero Week
June 21 – June 25
BAM! This extraordinary week campers will channel their inner superhero with lots of fun and games.
Week 4: Circus Week
June 28 – July 2
Campers will clown around with all things circus - get ready for face paint, carnival games, and loads of excitement!
Week 5: Water Week
July 6 – July 9
Campers will be waterlogged with cool-off water game fun - don't miss out on the famous DDC slip-n-slide!
Week 6: ‘80s and ‘90s Week
July 12 – July 16
Campers will travel back in time for some 80s and 90s fun with throwback games and music all week long!
Week 7: Olympics Week
July 19 – July 23
Go for the gold! The Summer Olympics return to camp, featuring DDC's annual World Cup soccer tournament.
Week 8: Lip Sync Week
July 26 – July 30
Rock on! This yearly tradition is always a favorite. Groups practice song and dance for a performance on Thursday night for friends and family.
