The Valpo Parks Department is pleased to announce that Lisa Baisden has joined the Parks staff as the Youth Program Director.
Baisden has a Bachelor of Physical Education Sciences degree with an emphasis in Sports Management from Valparaiso University. She was a Valparaiso University athlete and Valparaiso High School Varsity Softball Assistant for three years. She interned with the Valpo Parks Recreation Department in 2004 and 2005. Originally from Valparaiso, Baisden participated in Parks programs throughout her youth and continues to participate in Valpo Parks adult programs.
"Lisa had the best combination of experience, skills and understanding of the expectation of the job from among several outstanding persons we interviewed,” said Director John Seibert. “We look forward to Lisa’s enthusiasm and contributions to our youth programs and to the relationships she will continue to build with the children, families, and partners we serve."
