Valpo Track & Field Announces Outdoor Schedule

Valpo-Track-and-Field-Announces-Outdoor-Schedule-2018The Valparaiso University track and field teams have released their schedule for the 2018 outdoor season. The schedule starts with trips to Louisiana and Texas before the Crusaders will stay within the Midwest for the rest of their meets.

The Missouri Valley Conference Championships, hosted by Indiana State, will take place in May after Valpo hosts the annual Crusader Open on April 28.

Beginning on March 10, the Crusaders will travel to Lake Charles, La. to compete in the McNeese Cowboy Relays. At the end of the month, the team will head south again, this time to participate in the Bobcat Invitational hosted by Texas State and the Texas Relays hosted by Texas. Those events will take place from March 29–31.

Valpo will take a trip to Terre Haute, Ind. for the Gibson Invitational from April 6–7. The following weekend, the Crusaders will head west to Illinois State’s Redbird Invite on April 14 in Normal, Ill. The next week, the team will make its way to Chicago, where it will compete in the DePaul Invitational on April 21.

A busy week at the end of the month will conclude the regular season schedule with a visit to Des Moines, Iowa for the Drake Relays. Valpo will compete there from April 25–27 before returning home to host the fourth annual Crusader Open at the Warren G. Hoger Track at Brown Field on April 28.

The season finishes up with the Missouri Valley Conference Outdoor Championships, which will be hosted by Indiana State in Terre Haute, Ind. from May 11–13.

The indoor season will continue after the holidays, when the Crusaders make a trip to Grand Valley State for the Bob Eubanks Open on Jan. 12 in Allendale, Mich.
