Tickets will be available at the Valparaiso High School Bookstore, Air One Aerial Photography, Blythe’s Sport Shop, Valpo Velvet, Cavanaugh Orthodontics, Valparaiso Family Dentistry, BuffaLouie's, along with various other locations around town.

The Valparaiso High School Basketball Legends Roundtable event will take place on Sunday, October 25th at 4:30PM at Boucher Gymnasium in Ben Franklin Middle School.

The event is headlined by many legendary figures in Valparaiso basketball history, including Virgil Sweet, Skip Collins, Bryce Drew, Bob Punter, Joe Otis, Homer Drew, Rob Cavanaugh, and John Knauff. Tickets will be available for five dollars each, and proceeds will benefit the Public Education Foundation of Valparaiso.

The legends will talk about the history of the program, some of its best moments, and how the program has been able to sustain success over 50 years from the time Virgil Sweet has coached through the new coach, Joe Otis. There will be an open discussion between former coaches (Sweet, Collins, Punter, Drew, and Otis), former players (Drew, Cavanaugh), and a historian in John Knauff, who will soon be releasing a book about the entire history of Valparaiso High School basketball.

The Public Education Foundation of Valparaiso is a not-for-profit group that raises funds for various educational events in Valparaiso. The group works with Dollars for Scholars, a scholarship organization to help fund postsecondary education, and Creative Learning And Special Projects (CLASP) grants, designed for projects that promote student achievement and encourages lifelong learning experiences.

A specail thanks goes to Blythe's Sport Shop for contributing jerseys for the participants. The Legends will be wearing VHS-style custom jerseys, donated to the program by Blythe's Sport Shop.
