Valpo’s Jerrick Suiter Drafted Overall by the Toronto Blue Jays in 2011 MLB Draft

Former Valparaiso High School star Jerrick Suiter was drafted overall in the 2011 Major League Baseball First-Year Draft by the Toronto Blue Jays

Suiter, a Duneland Athletic Conference MVP and All-Conference selection, played Varsity for the Vikings throughout his career, and was named Co-MVP of the Duneland Athletic Conference this season as an outfielder.

Last year, Suiter chose to play college baseball at Texas Christian University, who finished last year as the nation’s third-ranked team. It remains to be seen whether he will travel to Fort Worth to play for TCU or turn to professional baseball.

Congrats to Jerrick from all of us at ValpoLife and good luck in the future!
