The Victory Christian Academy Lions knew going in that this make up date would test them with seven starters and reserves unavailable, but a late scratch of their starting pitcher for Monday night left the Lions few options.
Peter Guess was called upon to start for the Lions and pitched four innings. Aside from a wild stretch in the second inning, Guess pitched well enough to help his team. In the second, nine walks and eight hits allowed Bowman to push 15 runs across the plate.
Offensively, the Lions could not get anything going, scratching out only two hits on the evening.
Mac Price pitched a scoreless fourth inning for the Lions.
The Lions next play Tuesday evening at 6 PM in the Railcats High School Challenge vs. Hammond Academy of Science and Technology.
