VHS Boys Team Raises Funds for Housing Opportunities

boys-bball-housing-opportunities-2013The Valparaiso High School Boys Basketball team raised $912.50 to help Housing Opportunities restock its food pantry. They did this by selling pizza cards. In addition, the Sports Fundraising Network, motivated by our idea, decided to match our donation. Therefore, $1,825 was raised to help feed those in need around Porter County.

In addition, the Sports Fundraising Network liked the philanthropic idea so much that they now offer donation matches to other Indiana schools as well. Shortly after matching the Valpo boys' donations, they matched another Indiana school's donations to help tornado relief efforts.

The Valpo Boys' Program would like to thank all who helped our efforts by purchasing the pizza cards!
