In a home meet at Sunset Hill Farm against Chesterton, Valpo claimed "V"ictory with a score of Valpo 15 to Chesterton 50. Peyton Reed and Ari Coulopolous ran together the whole race, leading the pack and pushing ahead with a tie for 1st with a time of 17:09. Valpo did an exceptional job in the meet with the first 13 places going to Valpo.
Reed and Coulopoulos are fresh off the State Preview meet at the LaVerne Gibson Championship Course in Terre Haute on Sept. 3, 2011. Reed placed 5th overall and Coulopoulos came in 8th. To view results from The State Preview Meet, click here!
On the injured list is top runner for Valpo XC Senior Ahmad Aljobeh. He was injured during a practice run and hopes to be running with the team very quickly. Showing team spirit Aljobeh is always present cheering for his teammates. The team is stepping it up with determination and teamwork.

Next meet for Valpo Boys XC is the Rensselaer Invitational at Rensselaer Central High School September 10, 2011. This is the only race in which the boys will run with their individual classes.
