The Valparaiso High School Gymnastics team won its 11th consecutive sectional Saturday at Chesterton.
The Vikes had outstanding performances on Uneven Bars (Hanna Wilson, Alex Walters, Rushelle Miller, and Lia Milroy) to take the lead after the third rotation, and finished the meet with a solid Beam effort.
VHS will host the Regional meet Friday night at 6 p.m. in the Fieldhouse. The Vikes are undefeated and ranked #1 in the State, and will take on #4 Merrillville, #3 Portage, #5 Logansport, Noblesville, and Lafayette Harrison to earn a trip to the State Finals.
