The Valparaiso High School softball team will begin its state title aspirations with an opening round match-up against Duneland Athletic Conference rival Merrillville.
Playing in the Crown Point Sectional (Class 4A, Sectional 2), the Viking are joined by the Pirates of Merrillville, along with Crown Point, LaPorte, Michigan City, Portage, Chesterton, and Hobart.
The first game begins at 4:30pm CT on Monday, May 23rd, 2011 at Crown Point, be sure to head over and root on your Vikings!
