The Valparaiso High School baseball team hosted New Prairie High School on Friday, sending the Cougars home after a late 5-run rally gave the Vikings a 12-7 victory.
Andrew Sykes came in for relief for Valpo, throwing three no-hit, shutout innings, striking out six in the process. Jeff Holmes led the Vikings on the offensive end, going 3-for-3 with two doubles, three runs, and one RBI. Every Viking batter recorded a hit in the ball game.
