The Valparaiso High School boys golf team had three golfers place in the top five as the team’s score of 301 was enough to put the Vikings at the top of the 2011 Sectional Meet.
Logan Bertalan and Kyle Meihofer each shot a 71 at their home course of Forest Park Golf Course and Bobby Jacobs followed up with a 75. Andrew Gariup also shot a 84 for Valpo, while Tylar Blosefield shot 89.
The Vikings will advance to the Regionals, taking place on Friday, June 10th at 9am at Beechwood Golf Course in LaPorte.
