The Valparaiso Vikings boys tennis team fell on the road 4-1 to Culver Academies on September 14th.
#1 Single Ben Kalisch was the only VHS team member to record a victory, topping Quilan Smith 6-0, 6-2. Marty Pochop fell to Sam Concannon 7-5, 7-6 (4) and Eric Cender fell to Eric Maudhuit 6-0, 6-2.
In doubles action, the duo of Jared Folk and Peter Williams fell to Alec Proeh and Austin Proeh 6-3, 6-3. The Vikings’ Noah Klumpie and David Miller lost to Arturo Lizarraga and Jorge Segura 6-2, 6-4.
The JV team won 8-5.
Valparaiso will face off against Portage at VHS on September 18 in their final DAC match of the year with a chance to clinch the conference title.
