Vikings Drop to #5 in Weekly RSN Top 10

The Valparaiso High School boys basketball team dropped to fifth in the Region Sports Network’s weekly rankings of Northwest Indiana teams.

The Vikings hadn’t played since the previous rankings were released, and slid a spot after Bishop Noll (6-0) jumped two places to third overall with their win over Guerin Catholic. The Vikings won their latest game against Chesterton 51-39 on Tuesday, but these rankings won’t yet reflect that win.

You can read the full rankings here, the Vikings’ excerpt is below:

5. Valparaiso (6-1, 3-1) Last Week – #4
Valparaiso was idle last week and slips back a spot to #5 in the RSN Top Ten through no fault of their own as the Vikings are one of the surprise teams so far this season. Only one game on tap this week also as Chesterton is in the house on Tuesday.
