8. Valparaiso Vikings (Last Season: 5-6)

With a returning backfield of Andrew Kittridge and Stephen Simms, along with Paul Runyon on the offensive line, we know the Vikings are going to run the ball this year, but what else do we know about them? Well, we know new coach Dave Coyle is going to try to keep the philosophies and strategies the same as his predecessor, Mark Hoffman, but we’ll see what happens come game time. Valpo was a goal line offensive push away from appearing in the Sectional One championship last season. It’s funny to say that one series can change how a team is viewed, but a touchdown against Crown Point in that semi-final would have us feeling much more optimistic about the Vikings.

The Vikings travel out to Penn to take on the Kingsmen to open up the season. Hear it all on 98.3 FM WVLP, Regionsports.com & Valposportsonline.com!
