The Valparaiso High School boys basketball team held steady at fourth place this week in the Region Sports Network’s ranking of teams throughout Northwest Indiana.

4. Valparaiso (10-2, 6-2) Last Week – #4
Valparaiso enjoyed an easy week, cruising past weak sisters Portage and Kankakee Valley on Friday and Saturday respectively to hold serve at #4 in the RSN Top Ten. Still, there isn’t much reason to celebrate in Valparaiso this week following the death of Dick Harlan, the long time broadcast voice of the Vikings over the weekend. “King Richard” will surely be missed. The dangerous La Porte Slicers are in the house on Friday.
