Vikings Rank Fourth in Region Sports Network’s Weekly Top Ten

The Valparaiso High School boys basketball team fell to fourth place this week from its third-place finish last week in the Region Sports Network’s ranking of teams throughout Northwest Indiana.

The 8-2 Vikings (5-2 DAC) split games last week against Merrillville and Michigan City in a home loss and road victory, respectively. Click here for the full ranking list and check out the Valpo excerpt below!

4. Valparaiso (8-2, 5-2) Last Week – #3
Valparaiso looked a lot like Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde last week, playing meek Dr. Jekyll in a 15 point home loss to Merrillville on Tuesday before turning into mean Mr. Hyde in a twelve point road win over Michigan City, who had just knocked off then #1 Lake Central. Go figure in the Duneland. This week the Vikings will have to guard against playing Dr. Jekyll again, this time out of complacency with back to backs on the road against hapless Portage on Friday and weak sister Kankakee Valley on Saturday.
