The Valparaiso High School girl’s varsity tennis team swept Lake Central on Tuesday afternoon, en route to a 5-0 victory at VHS.
The in singles play, the Vikings didn’t give up a point as Kelly Kennedy, Caitlin Kennedy, and Rachael Williams each defeated Bre Falcone, Angela Gerlach, and Kate Toth 6-0, 6-0, respectively.
The doubles teams also came out victorious over the Indians of Lake Central as the Vikings’ Sonja Schaefer and Marissa Westron defeated Anna Weber and Brittany Warszyniak 6-2, 3-6, 7-5 while Ava Meyer and Brooke Sever took down Vanessa Olson and Nicole Stanek 6-2, 6-0.
The Vikings' JV team also won 9-5 over Lake Central.
