Enjoy a day in the park with family and friends as we "Stroll for Hospice" in memory of loved ones and help the VNA continue to provide compassionate care for patients and their families.
After your Stroll, we'll have tented seating or bring your picnic blanket. There will be hotdogs, hamburgers, veggie burgers along with other picnic fare. And, enjoy Culver's Frozen yogurt for dessert!
The Hospice Choir and a DJ will keep things moving while you enjoy family activities including a bounce house, photo booth, face painting, crafts, games, raffle baskets and more!
Encourage friends and family to support your walk by collecting sponsorships. Raise $100 or more and a special sign in memory of your loved one will be placed along our walking route. And, you'll receive a handmade wooden rose with your loved one's name.
Awards will be given to the individuals and teams who raise the most in sponsorships and have the highest number of sponsors. An additional award will be given to the team with the most members.
Event Details and Schedule
2015 Stroll for Hospice takes place one May 3, 2015 at Central Park Plaza 63 Lafayette Street in Valparaiso.
Cost is $10 for individuals and $50 for teams of 6 or more. Under 18 years stroll for free.
Registration begins at Noon. Stroll steps off after 1:00 pm. Upon your return from your stroll, you can enjoy lunch and activities in the Park until 4:00 pm. The route will include downtown Valparaiso on Lincolnway, Lafayette St and Washington St. Parking is first come first serve. There is a parking garage on Monroe St, just west of Central Park. As with all outdoor events, please keep an eye on the weather and dress accordingly. This is a rain or shine event.
