VNA of Porter County to Offer October Contingency Notebook Workshop

VNA-BLUEThe public is invited to attend a Contingency Notebook workshop on Friday, October 26 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the Porter County Public Library—Portage Branch, 2665 Irving Street in Portage. The workshop is sponsored by the VNA Forever Society of the Visiting Nurse Association of Porter County.

A contingency notebook is a three-ring binder containing all the information a loved one or personal representative needs to know, should you become seriously incapacitated or even die. When tragedy strikes, it's no time to go through drawers, filing cabinets and shoeboxes looking for pertinent information. Those who bear responsibility for your affairs need the relevant material immediately.

If you do not already have a contingency notebook, emergency file, or crisis notebook with such information, this workshop presented by Sue Nunn will help you get started.

The VNA Forever Society will provide a three-ring binder and notebook materials, as well as refreshments for attendees.

Please register by contacting Maria Galka at 219-531-8078 or email at mgalka@vnaportercounty.org by Monday, October 22nd. Seating is limited.

Come, take advantage of this free opportunity!
