VNA to Celebrate 30 Years of Hospice

VNA-BLUEVNA Hospice is celebrating 30 years of compassionate end of life care provided for more than 11,000 patients and their families throughout the community. A community-wide celebration is set for June 22, 2013 from 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm in Central Park Plaza in Valparaiso. Proceeds will help the VNA continue to provide hospice care for uninsured and underinsured terminally ill patients and sustain the free grief and bereavement care offered to the loved ones of hospice patients.

The early bird ticket price of $75 per person has been extended to June 17th. After June 17th, tickets will be $100 per person.

Latin Satin Soul will provide the music for the event. Pikk’s Tavern is preparing a grand array of Mexican and American food, including empanadas, ceviche of shrimp, tamales, tacos, chicken wings, bratwurst, fresh salads, strawberry shortcake and tres leche cake.

While alcoholic beverages are not included in the ticket price – some great drinks will be available at the cash bar, including fresh lime margaritas and sangria. Dress for the evening is summer cocktail.
