Individuals don’t have to compete to be a part of the Valpo Tri. There is a whole other side to the multi-sport event. Volunteering at the 12th Valpo Triathlon on July 12 can be exciting by taking on a support role to the athletes who work hard to accomplish their triathlon goals. A volunteer information session is being offered at Rogers-Lakewood on Tuesday, July 1 at 6:00 p.m.
The overall courses will be reviewed, as well as information on specific volunteer areas like the finish line, food tent, transition area, bike or run course assistance and registration. Volunteer registration will be taken at the info session. On race day, volunteers will get a volunteer shirt, coffee and donuts, as well as access to the food tent after the race. Volunteers should meet near the Park Store. To volunteer online, individuals can go to www.valpotri.net.
