It's time again for the cats of the Independent Cat Society to strut their stuff in order to win the coveted title of 2012 ICS Sweetheart of the Year. This year we have 10 wonderful cats competing for this title and they are all sweethearts in their own right. Let me introduce you to this wonderful 10.
Little Chaka is a petite female tortoiseshell who is about 2 years old and so very sweet. She loves to play with and chase her tabby sister, Reesie. Her markings are really beautiful and she not only would make a wonderful "Sweetheart of the Year", but she and her sister would also make a wonderful addition to some lucky family.
Fireball is a young fellow. He is really sweet but also kind of shy which sometimes makes him the target for the bullies. This sweet but spicy guy is young and playful and would love to leave our shelter and have a home of his very own. Vote for Fireball for Sweetheart of the Year and it will help give him hope for a home to call his own.
Gizzy is a ball of energy with a winning personality to boot. This large boy is sweet and loveable and really loves attention. Vote him in as Sweetheart of the Year and he will reward you will tons of love and affection. Give him a home of his own and you will be his 'special' person furrever!
Kiki is an elegant black beauty who is cute and perky and just all around adorable. This wonderful girl has been searching for a home of her own for some time and if she is lucky enough to win the coveted title of "Sweetheart of the Year" maybe it will also help her to find that home of her own.
Lil Girl is a little sweetie that is quiet and loveable with a purr to win your heart. She many times has been one of the 'almost selected' only to end up being passed up for someone else. She wonders if it will ever be her turn to win this coveted prize. Vote Lil Girl the Sweetheart of the Year and maybe her luck will change and this will be her year to find her own family to love.
Sweet Melvin is a delightful mellow guy with a beautiful soul and gorgeous eyes to match. This FIV+ fellow is so sweet and playful and would love to have a family to call his own. Vote Melvin as the Sweetheart of the Year and it just may help him to win his even more coveted prize. A home and family to call his very own.
Neeko is only part Siamese but all sweetheart. He is young and playful and he and his beautiful gray brother, Teeko, can keep you entertained for hours. Choose Neeko as the Sweetheart of the Year and help him and his brother to get closer to a home of their own.
Little Patches is one of the darlings of the shelter. She loves to sit on the counter or desk and watch you with her little pink tongue sticking out just a little to make her extra irresistible. Vote this little darling the Sweetheart of the Year and you will make her feel so extra special. Just like she is!
Sterling is the real deal. He is distinguished, handsome, gentle and an all around great guy. Vote Sterling as the Sweetheart of the Year and not only will he reward you with generous purrs of appreciation, but he will feel that he is special enough to maybe finally find that home he so badly wants.
Taffy is as sweet and yummy as her name. This orange and white beauty is so great and even though she has been searching for a home for a while now she never loses her ability to warm your heart. Vote Taffy as Sweetheart of the Year and make her a happy kitty!
To vote for your choice for Sweetheart of the Year you simply need to visit our website, www.catsociety.org, click on Paypal and indicate on your donation that you are voting in the Sweetheart Contest and who you are voting for. Or you can send a check, made payable to the ICS, to ICS Sweetheart Contest, PO Box 735, Westville, Indiana 46391, being sure to indicate on your check your choice for Sweetheart of the Year. Or stop out at our shelter on Saturdays 10 am to 4 pm or Sundays 1 pm to 4 pm and meet all the sweethearts and vote. Our adoption counselors and volunteers will be happy to show you how you can cast your vote for your choice.
This contest runs through February 29th and all votes/donations must be received or postmarked this date. The winner will be announced by mid-March. Remember, the cat with the most votes/donations wins. So vote generously and often!! All proceeds benefit the Independent Cat Society.
