Washington Township Elementary News: Acuity Testing, K-Kids, and Sports Day

ACUITY TESTINGwashington-township-logo
This week and the next two, students in grades 3-5 will be taking a computerized test (called Acuity) which will assess how well they have learned basic skills in Reading and Math this last quarter. Each quarter classroom teachers are focusing on certain critical skills in these subject areas. These tests will help teachers measure their student's mastery of these skills and what changes to instruction or remediation are needed. Students in grades K-3 will be taking similar tests later this month (called M-Class), but these are given individually by a teacher and recorded on a Palm Pilot device which then uploads the data to our computers for similar analysis.
