Washington Township Elementary News: Holiday Luncheon, Spell Bowl Results, and Students of the Week

Holiday Luncheon washington-township-logo

We'd like to continue our tradition this year with the elementary holiday luncheon put on by our staff as a Christmas present to our students and parents. On our last day of school, Friday, December 17, we have an elementary Christmas luncheon to go along with our Holiday Dress-up Day and class parties. Parents are invited to eat with their child(ren) at a cost of $3.00 each or $2.00 for any pre-schoolers that come. Please make reservations with the child you are actually going to eat with.

PLEASE NOTE: RESERVATIONS WITH PRE-PAYMENT BY DEC. 8TH ARE A MUST!

We only make a few extra meals available for each time slot and when those are gone we won't be able to serve you a meal if you didn't make a reservation. The luncheon will take place in the MPR with turkey and all the trimmings. With the kids wearing Christmas outfits for the Dress-up Day and with Christmas music and decorations, we think it will put everyone in the Christmas spirit.

If you'd like to eat with your child that day, please make reservations by returning the tear-off with payment to the elementary office by WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 8TH. Due to our increased enrollment we're going to have to limit the number of guests per child to 3. If we get too many people, we may have to discontinue this event and we really don't want to do that, so please limit your reservations to no more than 3 per child. You will pick up your pre-paid tickets at the registration table that day.

I'm looking forward to continuing our great elementary holiday tradition this year with you all. ~Rik Ihssen

Spell Bowl Results

Our rather young team of mostly 4th graders scored 29 points out of 56 last Thursday for our region's Spell Bowl which put us in 10th place. Michael Dehaven got all 7 of his words correct and Nicholas Rupnow and Tyler Smolar each got 5 correct. We're looking forward to great things out of our team next year!
