Join the Porter County Museum in welcoming Serena Sutliff of the Westchester Township History Museum on Thursday, February 5 at 5:30p to learn more about the history of Chicago Prairie Club, an early naturalist group with a passion for the Indiana Dunes.
The Prairie Club fell in love with the Indiana Dunes at the turn of the 20th century and began the early efforts of conserving the dunes to create park land. The legacy of this group is especially important today as we prepare to celebrate the centennial of the National Park Service and the 50th anniversary of the National Lakeshore.
Admission to all We Are Porter County Series Programs is free and open to the public. See you at the POCOmuse!
