What is Habitat for Humanity?

Habitat-for-HumanityA group of concerned citizens in Valparaiso came together in 1994 to create a Habitat for Humanity affiliate chapter in response to a critical need for decent, affordable housing. The local chapter adopted a covenant and by-laws that were approved by Habitat for Humanity International, and we continue to operate as an officially sanctioned affiliate.

Since our chapter began, we have completed twelve homes in partnership with families in need of affordable shelter. Each family provides five hundred hours of sweat equity on their own home and in other parts of the local ministry.

Please join us all day on Thursday December 4th , 2014, at Culver’s of Valparaiso for a Benefit Day to support the Habitat for Humanity Organization.

You may contact Habitat for Humanity directly to receive a copy of the flyer detailing the event, or if you prefer, you can simply mention to the cashier taking your order that you there for the Habitat for Humanity Benefit Day, and they will print a receipt for you to sign to receive credit for your order.

We thank you in advance for your support, and hope to see you on December 4th to benefit a very worthwhile cause!
